Project Details
My Role: UX Design, UI Design, UX Research
Tools: Sketch, Figma, InVision
Duration: 5 months
Teammates: Cross-functional agile team working closely with the client
Overview
We worked with Michigan’s Judicial Information Services to rebuild their case search software. We leaned heavily on material design to create a responsive website.
UX/UI Design
When I rolled onto the project, a lot of the UI framework was already in place. So my role involved a lot of pattern and workflow creation, and then used material design and our design system to create new UI components and experiences.
Journey Mapping
We also closely worked with a handful of the clients to coach them to become product managers. We developed personas and helped them facilitate user testing while giving demos to courthouse employees throughout the state. Right before the first coronavirus shutdown, we had been working on some features for one of our underserved user personas. We wanted to create a journey map for the judge, but we needed a tool where we could work remotely, didn’t cost anything, and something that the clients could use on their own after we rolled off the engagement. We ended up creating a Google Sheet and we all collaborated on this journey map.
